Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs):
Government of India have sanctioned (43) Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas for dropout ST Girls in the Tribal blocks of Andhra Pradesh.
Nearest APTWR Principal is designated as the Liaison Principal to KGBV for better coordination
(43) KGBVs are functioning under the control of Gurukulam.
The medium of instruction is Telugu in state syllabus.
The maximum sanctioned strength is (200) in KGBVs.
These KGBVs are having classes from 6th to 10th.
Admissions will be made every year during the month of June.
The Project Officer, Rajiv Vidya Mission (SSA) of that particular district shall prepare the list of dropout girls in co-ordination with the Mandal Educational Officers / Resource Persons etc.,
The Spl. Officers of KGBVs shall obtain the list of drop out girls from the Project Officer, RVM and admit the students.
The students are normally selected from the same mandal of the location of the school. If seats are vacant, preference will be given to the dropout girls of surrounding mandals.
There is no separate reservation pattern in KGBVs.
All seats shall be filled with tribal girls in these KGBVs.
