While enclosing the copy
of the reference cited, all the District Educational Officers in the state are
informed that RIE, Bangalore is offering two distance mode programs for
teaches, teacher trainers and the general public every year. The first course
is DIEC(Diploma in English Communication) and other one is PGDELT (post
Graduate Diploma in English Language Teaching). The RIESI believes that
quality improvement can be achieved only through teacher empowerment includes
acquiring necessary skills and strategies required for the effective
transaction of the content and also developing one’s ability to transact
meaningfully in the classroom. These courses aims to help teachers to improve
their proficiency in English Language and become effective classroom teachers
and acquire knowledge and skills related to language teaching.
Therefore, all the District Educational Officers in the state are requested to
give wide publicity in the districts so that interested teachers can make use
of this opportunity and enroll for the programs.
