(SS.II), Govt. of India, Ministry of Education, DoSEL, New Delhi,
I wish to inform that, all are aware that the Government of India approved
the National Education Policy 2020. The new policy aims to pave way for
transformational reforms in school and higher education systems in the
country. This policy will replace the earlier National Policy on Education
(NPE), 1986. This National Education Policy aims at building a global best
education system rooted in Indian ethos, and aligned with the principles
enunciated above, thereby transforming India into a global knowledge
superpower.
The highlights of the policy pertaining to School Education are herewith
communicated so as to disseminate among the public through Municipalities,
Gram Panchayats, Village/Ward Secretariats etc., The discussions may take
place for effective implementation of the policy in the state of Andhra
Pradesh.
Therefore, I request to kindly disseminate the gist of the policy
pertaining to School Education in all Municipalities, Gram Panchayats,
Village/Ward Secretariats etc., and obtain views/suggestions for effective
implementation of the recommendations with respect to School Education in
