Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal handed over a cheque of Rs 1 crore to the family of Sheoji Mishra, a teacher who succumbed to Covid- 19.

NEW DELHI: Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday provided financial assistance of Rs1 crore to the kin of Covid warrior Sheoji Mishra, a frontline worker who got infected with the coronavirus on the frontline and died fighting it.
Mishra was a trained graduate teacher in English and was posted at a government school in Kalyanwas in East district. CM said that the deceased continued to serve people till his last breath.CM also promised a job to his elder son and stated that he will stand with the family throughout “Sheoji Mishra was a very hardworking and dedicated teacher in Delhi government school. He passed away after getting infected while being on Covid duty last year. I can understand the pain and grief of his family. While we cannot bring him back, I, on behalf of the Dein government have provided him with the monetary support of Rs 1 crore CM said.
Mishra is survived by his wife and two sons. “His elder son is preparing for a job, and the Delhi government will provide his elder son with a job. We will also stand beside them in any assistance that they shall need in the future CM announced.
The school where Mishra was posted functioned under Covid 19 duty to facilitate screening movements, providing food, and temporary stay (night shelter to the migrant labourers in the school Mishrajgor infected on June, 2020
