Certain instructions regarding highschool time table

All Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District
Educational Ofcers in the State are aware that, the Government has
issued orders for opening of all classes in all schools w.e.f 16.08.2021 for
the academic year 2021-22 in the state strictly in accordance with the
SOPs issued by various departments and general instructions issued by
the government from time to time.

As per the parameters under section 29 of RTE Act, 2009, section (2)
(a) to section (2) (e), SCERT, AP in the capacity of State Academic
Authority as defined under section 29(2) of RTE Rules 2011 has prepared a
comprehensive academic calendar for the year 2021-22. The same has
been communicated to all the field functionaries.

In the academic calendar 2021-22, regarding high school it was
suggested that the school timings are from 9.00 a.m to 04.00 p.m, while
suggesting the time table it was suggested from 8.00 a.m to 8.45 a.m for
self-learning, supervisory study, we love reading and preparation for
competitive examinations, from 4.00 p.m to 6.00. p.m it was suggested for
games and from 5.00 p.m to 6.00 p.m it was suggested for remedial
teaching, we love reading and library activities. It was specially mentioned
that the activities from 8.00 a.m to 8.45 a.m and 5.00 p.m to 6.00 p.m are
optional.

Certain representations are received by this office seeking
clarification regarding the optional hours and the time allocated for games
i.e 4.00 p.m to 6.00 p.m in respect of high schools.

In view of the above, all Regional Joint Directors of School Education
and District Educational Officers in the State are requested to issue
necessary instructions/clarifications to the Headmasters/teachers of all
high schools that, the optional hours from 8.00 a.m to 8.45 a.m and the
mandate hours from 4.00 p.m to e.00 p.m shall be handled by the Physical
Education Teacher / School Assistant (Phy.Edn) and they may be
exempted from 9.30 a.m to 2.30 p.m for attending to school. The other
teachers who are willing to take classes from 8.00 a.m to 8.4e a.m
voluntarily may be permitted to handle supervisory study, and to prepare  children for competitive examinations and also for remedial teaching
whenever required.
