వాహనాన్ని స్టార్ట్‌ చేయాలన్నా ఆఫ్‌ చేయాలన్నా కీ కంపల్సరీ. అది లేకుండా బండి ముందుకు నడవదు. అయితే గత కొంత కాలంగా కీ లేకుండా బండ్లు స్టార్ట్‌ చేసే టెక్నాలజీ అందుబాటులోకి వచ్చినా.. అవన్నీ రెంటల్ బైక్‌ సర్వీసెస్‌లోనే అందుబాటులో ఉన్నాయి. ఇప్పుడు పర్సనల్‌ బైకులకు సైతం ఈ ఫీచర్‌ని అందుబాటులోకి వచ్చింది.
ఓలా రాకతో ఒక్కసారిగా ఎలక్ట్రిక్ వెహికల్‌ మార్కెట్‌లో పరిస్థితులు మారిపోయాయి. ఈ సెగ్మెంట్‌లో రోజుకో మార్పు చోటు చేసుకుంటోంది. కస్టమర్లను ఆకట్టుకునేలా ఫీచర్లు అందించేందుకు కంపెనీలో పోటీ పడుతునఆనయి. తాజాగా తమ బైకులకు సంబంధించి కీలకమైన మార్పును రివోల్ట్‌ తీసుకొచ్చింది. కీతో సంబంధం లేకుండానే బండి ఆన్‌ ఆఫ్‌ చేసే విధంగా సరికొత్త టెక్నాలజీని రివోల్ట్‌ అందిస్తోంది.
రివోల్ట్‌ 400 బైకులు స్మార్ట్‌ఫోన్‌తో ఆపరేట్‌ చేయవచ్చు. స్మార్ట్‌ఫోన్‌లో రివోల్ట్‌ యాప్‌ ద్వారా కీతో సంబంధం లేకుండానే బైను ఆన్‌, ఆఫ్‌ చేయవచ్చు. పార్కింగ్‌ ఏరియాలో బండి ఎక్కడ ఉందో కూడా కనుక్కోవచ్చు. 2021 సెప్టెంబరు నుంచి మార్కెట్‌లో అందుబాటులో ఉండే బైకులకు ఈ ఫీచర్‌ను అందిస్తున్నారు.
కొత్తవాటితో పాటు ఇప్పటికే మార్కెట్‌లో ఉన్న బైకులకు సైతం ఈ ఫీచర్‌ని ఉచితంగానే అందిస్తామని రివోల్ట్‌ ఫౌండర్‌ రాహుల్‌ శర్మ తెలిపారు. రివోల్ట్‌ షోరూమ్‌కి వెళ్లి కీ లేకుండా బైకులను ఆపరేట్‌ చేసే ఫీచర్‌ను పొందవచ్చన్నారు. అయితే కీ లెస్‌ ఫీచర్‌ని కేవలం రివోల్ట్‌ ఆర్‌వీ 400 మోడల్స్‌కే పరిమితం చేశారు. ఆర్‌వీ 300 మోడల్‌ బైకులకు ఈ ఫీచర్‌ని అందివ్వడం లేదు. ప్రస్తుతం మార్కెట్‌లో అందుబాటులో ఉన్న రివోల్ట్‌ ఆర్‌వీ 400 మోడల్‌ స్టాండర్డ్‌ ధర ఆన్‌ రోడ్‌ రూ.1,06,999గా ఉంది. కొత్త మోడల్‌ వివరాలపై స్పష్టత లేదు.
Revolt RV400 Highlights
There’s more good news for EV enthusiasts. Thanks to the new Gujarat Electric Vehicle Policy 2021, the Revolt RV400 has become affordable by Rs 20,000. This effectively brings the cost of the RV400 down to Rs 87,000 from the earlier Rs 1.07 lakh (all prices, on-road Ahmedabad). The premium variant of the RV 400 can be remotely started via the Revolt app. It gets in-built geofencing tech that allows you to remotely locate your RV 400 as well as set a perimeter for it to operate in. The premium variant offers a choice of four artificial exhaust note options.
The RV 400 has a 5kW motor and 3.24kWh swappable lithium-ion batteries that deliver an ARAI-certified range of 156km. Under the monthly subscription scheme, the battery warranty stands at 8 years/1.5 lakh km. You also get onboard diagnostics and over-the-air updates. Apart from LED headlights, the RV400 gets a full-LCD instrument cluster and 4G connectivity. So riders can now pair their smartphone with the bike and the Revolt app to access travel history, battery health, range, and nearest swap station. For added security, you get geofencing and keyless operation. The Revolt RV400 also gets speakers for an artificial engine sound.
The Revolt RV400 is powered by a 72V 3.24kWh lithium-ion battery. Its 3kW motor generates 54Nm of torque. The battery takes about 4.5 hours to charge completely using a 15A socket. In case you are in a hurry, you can even swap the battery at the Revolt Swap Station. It offers a claimed range of 156km with its top speed limited to 85kmph.
Suspension duties are handled by an inverted front fork and a monoshock at the rear with screw-type preload adjustability. The Revolt RV400’s braking hardware comprises 240mm discs on both ends with CBS as standard.
The RV400 has no direct rivals but in the EV space, it rivals the Ather 450X, TVS iQube Electric, and the Bajaj Chetak.
